WoW: This is Dragon Flight!
It’s official: the developers of World of Warcraft have announced the ninth expansion and the rumors have been confirmed! WoW: Dragonflight is a thing, and what a thing! With the Caller of the Dracthyr, this brings a race-class combination, the first of its kind in WoW. On the Dragon Islands you can level up to level 70 and experience adventures in four new zones! You learn how to ride a dragon and thus get the opportunity to jet through the skies of the Dragon Islands based on skills.
You can register for the WoW: Dragonflight beta here!
There are also three super-large construction sites: The talent system is being drastically revised and bringing talent trees “back”. The professions will also feel developer love. And the user interface will be heavily overhauled to make third-party WoW addons a bit redundant again. Here is the overview of all known information about WoW: Dragonflight and also the announcement of WoW Wrath of the Lich King Classic. On your way to the new level cap of 70 in WoW (buy now ): Dragonflight you travel to the dragon islands, because they want to reconquer the dragon swarms after their 10,000 year slumber (i.e. the sleep of the islands, not the dragons ^^). Everything that has rank and name is on board! Look forward to the return of Alexstrasza and Wrathion, among other things, as well as proto-drakes and elemental half-giants!
Give you a comprehensive overview of what awaits you in terms of the story of WoW: Dragonflight!
Four areas await you on the Dragon Islands that could not be more different. There is the Coast of Awakening, which radiates elemental power, where WoW celebrity Alexstrasza awaits you, among others. You may also explore the vast plains of Ohn’ahra, the snowy peaks of the Azure Mountains, and the towers and temples of Thaldraszus. There is no level 70 area like the Maw or Suramar; as usual, there will be an area for max level characters in each Dragon Island region. The capital of the expansion is called Valdrakken and is located in Thaldraszus – and finally offers you an auction house!
Furthermore, we now have a very respectable collection of reports on dragon lore, which we are constantly expanding!

The Caller of the Dracthyr aka Evoker
There is something special about the new class, because it is the first people-class combination that has ever existed in WoW. In other words, this race can only learn one class, but they are free to choose whether to join the Horde or the Alliance – yes, if you look at the humanoid shape of the Dracthyr Callers, it means that the Horde people gets ^^
Similar to shapeshifters, when designing your dragon avatars, you can customize both the humanoid form and the dragon form to your liking. Callers of the Dracthyr can use blue and red magic as ranged damage dealers, or heal using the powers of the bronze and green dragonflight. The power of the Black Dragonflight may reside in the Empower ability, which enhances certain spells of the Dracthyr Caller. You start at level 58 in a unique starting quest in your own Dragon Island area and will then be able to decide whether you want to carry the blue or the red banner.
The Dragon Isles is home to the new Dragon Ride skill, which the developers have dubbed “a brand new skill-based method of airborne travel.” Over the course of the expansion, you should be able to train your dragon for more speed and range, change its appearance and customize it according to your wishes.
Uff, the WoW developers want to go back to the roots of the classes and are massively revising the WoW talent system with Dragonflight! Apparently it’s not just going back to the classic talents, but rather to a talent tree 2.0, which somewhat combines the lessons of artifact weapons, pacts, media and more. You then have a class tree, as well as a tree of specialization talents that give you deeper choices and customization options.
More news about systems and changes:
Criticism of WoW’s crafting system has been voiced loudly and unmistakably for years. In between, in Battle for Azeroth and also in Shadowlands, it almost seemed that the WoW makers simply capitulated to the mammoth task of giving the craft really good and meaningful ideas again. In WoW: Dragonflight you can expect new features and tools for more comfort, crafting orders that are created by players, profession equipment and what was once removed from crafting: specializations! The craft should have a meaning again – hopefully Dragonflight can do that!
The WoW interface is also quite dusty. In order to make navigation and overview easier for you, the appearance of the mini-map, the spell display and various other elements will be improved. New features are added and the design is improved along the way. There are also options for different aspects of each element to suit your personal taste. WoW interface goes ElvUI?
One more thing: World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic!
It’s finally official, there will also be a Classic edition of the most popular WoW expansion ever: WotLK Classic. And because the baby is worth announcing on its own, we’re sending you along Follow this link to the official WotLK Classic Announcement!
