Experience Pokémon Go Fests live – apparently Niantic is throwing the prizes

from Susan Brown
In addition to the digital Pokémon Go Fest 2022 in early June 2022, there are three live events for players, namely in Berlin, Seattle and Sapporo. Now that the prices for the event tickets for all three live events are known, one wonders: Is a D20 rolled at Niantic or why are there such price differences?

I have OCDs and OCDs and I don’t know what. That’s why I was just waiting for the official prices for Pokémon Go Fest 2022 in Seattle, Washington to be revealed. So I give you the prices for the Pokemon Go Fest in Berlin and Sapporo can compare. Just out of interest. I want to share this interest with you. Because Pokémon Go Fest pricing at Niantic looks like it’s being rolled with a d20. Why? I’ll explain.

Pokemon Go Fest live event prizes

I have already recorded the following prices and for reasons of comparability we will simply stick to the basic ticket, i.e. the cheapest access. Without any addons.

  • For access to Pokemon Go Fest in Berlin you pay 24.99 euros.
  • For access to Pokemon Go Fest in Seattle you pay 25.00 US dollars (currently corresponds to 23.41 euros).
  • For access to Pokemon Go Fest in Sapporo you pay 3,000 yen (currently equivalent to 22.07 euros).

The difference for this ticket is not huge, everyone can see that. But we absolutely have to record a sometimes enormous playing time discrepancy.

  • The standard ticket in Berlin valid from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • The standard ticket in Seattle valid from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (including a one-hour break).
  • The standard ticket in Sapporo Valid from 08:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m. (including a one-hour break).

The hour break is created in Seattle and Sapporo by event participants switching between two locations in between. This means that the German Pokémon Go Fest will be played for seven hours, the US nine and the Japanese eleven hours. huh

The two objectively cheaper events also last longer? huh Yes, okay, there is also an option for a nine-hour game at the Pokémon Go Fest in Berlin … if you put 32.13 euros on the table for the early access ticket. And so my guess that the prices for the event tickets are being diced becomes a hat. Why Niantic? I’ve been upset about a lot about Pokemon Go’s pricing, but I think it’s a whole new level.
