Now the company wants to venture into new areas. Apparently, TikTok is now planning to conquer the gaming market.

What games should appear on TikTok? TikTok is the social media app of the so-called Gen-Z and is operated by ByteDance. TikTok bought a well-known app – Musically – and successfully developed the concept further: Users can use well-known songs for their clips and lip-synch them. Many content creators are now also using the songs to convey interesting content or to create short gaming guides.

Of course, well-known influencers and streamers also use the platform. Drachenlord recently sold its ancient TikToks and of course MontanaBlack, Knossi and EliasN97 are also represented in the app. Recently, a TikToker even proposed in RCADIA and shared it with the whole world. But now the company from Beijing wants to develop further and conquer the market with games. This is reported by Reuters in a detailed report. TikTok is said to be testing the first mini-games in Vietnam.

What exactly will be tested for games is not yet known. However, owner ByteDance has been trying to break into the video game industry for some time. The company from Beijing has already bought the mobile game studio Moonton, which could probably develop the games for TikTok.

In which countries will this happen? First, TikTok is testing the games in Vietnam, according to Reuters sources. If the test phase is successful, the games will then be rolled out on TikTok throughout Southeast Asia. No conversion is planned for Europe and America for the time being, but that could follow once it has been successfully established.

What is TikTok hoping for? Overall, the company hopes that users will spend even more time in their app. The company also wants to increase the watch time (watched time) and is therefore extending the video length from one to three minutes. In addition, the advertising revenue should be increased. Commercials could be shown between different levels, as is already the case with many mobile games.
