Cyberpunk 2077 leak: The first big DLC should let you go where you haven’t been able to go before
CD Projekt is involuntarily in the headlines again.
With the last patch for Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red accidentally uploaded a huge number of lines of dialogue for the first major expansion into the code, which were promptly fished out by resourceful dataminers. There are still some placeholders, but not only the new content, but also the story of the DLC can be derived from the existing data.
Danger: In this article, we only go into superficial information about the plot and the content of the DLC – i.e. the characters and locations – and do not reveal any details about the course of the story.

The Story: If you want, you can read the story of the first expansion in its entirety – for example on Reddit. If you want to play the DLC, this is not recommended, as it will take the fun out of you.
Just this much: The character Songbird, who already leaked some time ago – complete with model and outfits – apparently plays a central role. In complete contrast to Johnny Silverhand, who hardly has any lines of dialogue and seems to recede into the background. The conclusion of the Songbird storyline also reportedly affects the ending of the main game.

New areas: In the course of the story, V ends up in some places that are currently inaccessible in the game. These include a combat zone in the Pacifica district and the Sports Dome – both areas already exist in Night City but cannot be entered. A main mission should take place here.
Missions: In total, there appear to be seven new main missions that V must complete throughout Night City. But that’s not all: Various side missions, encounters in the open world and other activities are also waiting in the expansion.
Even if there is no official confirmation so far, the leak seems to be legitimate. Let’s wait and see what CD Projekt has to say about the story in the coming days.

When is Cyberpunk 2077 DLC coming out?
As we know, Cyberpunk 2077’s full roadmap has been pushed back. The next-gen version of the game for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is now available, but we will have to wait a little longer for the two planned expansions. The DLCs are scheduled to appear in 2023 and will be about the same size as the add-ons for The Witcher 3.
