Epic Games Store: 3 shooters with the Bioshock Collection now free
Epic Games has unveiled the next free game in the Epic Mega Sale, which fans can now download for free. In view of the previous teaser, the title should have caused some surprises in the community.
Nobody would have guessed that: After Borderlands 3, the Epic Games Store now has a collection with three games for free, which are real classics of the shooter genre. Anyone currently logging in to the Epic Games Store by June 2nd, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. can get the Bioshock Collection for free.
Teaser turned free play speculation in another direction
Previously, fans had been eagerly speculating about what free title we could expect next as part of the Epic Mega Sale. Epic Games had published an image as a hint, which was based on the Hong Kong action film “A Better Tomorrow” as a teaser. There were therefore suspicions that the next free game could be located in an Asian setting – but instead the teaser should probably allude to the ambivalent character of the main character.
Anyway, owners of an Epic account now get the Bioshock Collection for free, which includes Bioshock Remastered, Bioshock 2 Remastered and Bioshock Infinite in the Complete Edition with all DLCs. The collection requires at least 30 GB of free disk space and Windows 7 as the operating system. Also, users using Windows 10 or Windows 11 need to additionally download 2K Launcher to play.
The free offer of the Bioshock Collection is valid until June 2nd, 2022 at 5 p.m. German time. After that, Epic Games will unlock the third free game as part of the Epic Mega Sale, which is also said to be a AAA blockbuster. We’re excited to see what Epic has in store for us.
