Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: PC version no longer exclusive to Battle.net?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 release date confirmed

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 seems to be returning to one of the biggest download platforms. As can be seen from current reports, the new part of the popular First person shooter series released again on Steam will. An artwork that could be seen on Valve’s download platform last weekend should provide the decisive clue. The artwork, which was designed by, among others, Reddit user “Kalinine” was published shows Cover star Ghost as a banner and invites Steam users to “explore the entire franchise”.

Return to Steam?

The artwork has since been taken offline again. That Call of Duty with Modern Warfare 2 on Steam returns, should be likely based on the picture. However, the release on the PC download platform has not been confirmed. It would be the first Call of Duty title to be released on Steam in around seven years: Call of Duty: WW2 was the last installment in the first-person shooter series to be accessible through the platform. Since then, the PC versions have been distributed exclusively through Activision’s Battle.net launchers.
