Sinan-G vs. Bözemann: Commentator appalled – Calls fight “low point in boxing”

Last weekend, fists flew between Sinan-G and Bözemann in the ring – but not only in the ring. Commentator Tobias Drews makes a devastating verdict.

Update from 05/23/2022: Even though Sinan-G praised the fairness of the boxing event after the fight, there were very few positive impressions left after the fight. Already in round 1 Bözemann wanted to interrupt the fight because his left boxing shoe was loose and just stopped fighting. According to the boxing regulations, however, only the referee can do this and so he looked quite surprised.

The commentator was also irritated and said: “Either he continues to box or he gives up. Such a shoe is not that high-heeled.The debacle continues in round 2. The referee wants to separate Sinan-G and Bözemann, who are in a clinch, with the classic call “Break”, and without further ado gets a left hand from Sinan-G. While the referee briefly familiarizes the two boxers with the rules, the first fights begin next to the ring.

As Round 4 begins, a spectator behind the commentary table starts smoking: “Here someone smokes. In the hall he stands and smokes. People are fowl in this arena. Insanity. Complete loss of anything to do with manners in any way. It is unbelievable. Boxing is the sport of gentlemen, not many here have read, internalized and noticed that. Street brawls are elsewhere. The next climb through the ring and almost want to get into the corner. You could have stopped the fight three times already.“

Even before the fight, the two rappers exchanged a few announcements. Everything should be clarified in the ring, but the fight was more than chaotic and ended in pack formation. In this fight, however, you quickly realized that he was ashamed. So he said that the commentator’s table has shifted a few meters because the brawl next to the ring degenerated too much.

Drews called the situation a “low point in boxing.” He also said he doesn’t want to comment further. In the end he accompanied the fight to the end, but seemed visibly shocked by the situation.
