Star Wars Jedi Survivor: Supposed to be darker than Fallen Order

The recently announced Star Wars Jedi: Survivor from developer Respawn Entertainment is said to be darker than its predecessor.

At least that’s what Game Director Stig Asmussen gives in one interview with the official Star Wars website. In it, he was asked if part two was “more mysterious and menacing.”

It’s about survival

“Yes, that’s right,” he replies. “That’s exactly the purpose [des ersten Teasers]leaving the players with a lot of questions but also making them very curious.”

“The game is about survival. That’s why it’s called Jedi: Survivor. These are dark times and Cal and the crew are doing whatever it takes to survive.”

“It could mean that they’re making connections with people you’d rather avoid in other times,” he adds. “Some of that is in the trailer. Again, I don’t want to give anything away, but there’s definitely a sense of… I don’t want to give anything away, sorry!”

“We make the game for the fans,” emphasizes Asmussen. “Every day we put our blood, sweat and tears into it. For us there is nothing more important than putting the controller in the hands of the players and giving them a Star Wars experience that they find valuable, that is fun for them and puts a smile on their faces. We don’t take that for granted. We really appreciate being able to work in this universe and to contribute to it.”

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released in 2023 for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
