Warcraft 3 Reforged: Developers promise big news!

Warcraft: Blizzard wants to present first mobile game in May (1)

Warcraft 3: Reforged was announced as a huge project, which should include completely new cutscenes and numerous improvements. However, the actual release of the title was a complete disaster. The game owns up Metacritic currently has a user score of 0.6which arguably says enough about the quality of the remaster of this hugely popular Blizzard title.

Are the missing features of Warcraft 3: Reforged finally coming?

The game still lacks some important features that were present in the original. These include, for example, a ranked ladder, player profiles, and custom campaigns. Some of these features have already been addressed by the developers in blog posts, for example player profiles according to an August 2020 post be the next “High Priority” feature. So far, however, players are still waiting in vain for any news.

Allegedly, many features of Warcraft 3: Reforged have been canceled because Blizzard’s Classic Games Division, which was responsible for the game, has been scrapped. Vicarious Visions, which is now an integral part of Blizzard, then took over the work on Diablo 2: Resurrected, and is currently helping with the development of Diablo 4.

While it’s been pretty quiet around Warcraft 3: Reforged lately, there’s good news for players who haven’t given up hope for new updates yet: In a reply on Twitter Blizzard Entertainment President Mike Ybarra said that we should probably get new information about Warcraft 3: Reforged in June of this year.
