Pokémon Unite: You can now catch wild Pokémon, but only temporarily

In Pokémon Unite, you can now catch wild Pokémon and use them in battles.

However, this is not a permanent addition, but a time-limited game mode.

Catch Pokémon for a short time

Said mode in Pokémon Unite is called Fangkampf and is available until June 27, 2022 at 2 p.m.

In Snap Battle mode, wild Pokémon that you can catch appear on the map at different times. These are Lektrobal, Tauros, Kappalores, Arktilas, Aranestro, and Kamalm, as well as the Legendary Pokémon Arktos, Zapdos, and Regigigas.

If you defeat one of these Pokémon, you catch it and your battle item is replaced with its icon. You can then use it in battle for a limited time.

“Once you replace your Pokémon with the wild Pokémon, nearby opposing Pokémon will be knocked back,” it says. “This allows you to get used to the new Pokémon for a brief moment. A wild Pokémon can use its standard attack and two attacks. However, it cannot learn a Unite move or return to base.”

You can’t tell hits with a wild Pokémon either, so you should use it to support your teammates in Pokémon Unite. Arktos, Zapdos, and Regigigas can use Ice Beam, Lightning Cannon, and Hyper Beam attacks to weaken the defense of an enemy’s score zone.
