Dragon Age 4 is now called Dragon Age: Dreadwolf
We’ve already received some information about the forthcoming fourth installment in the popular Dragon Age series in the past. There was some concept art, the game transitioned from a multiplayer-focused live service model to a purely single-player adventure, and some information surrounding the game’s development also circulated.
First information about Dragon Age: Dreadwolf
What we’ve been missing, however, is a proper title for Bioware’s new role-playing game. The developers have now delivered this in one short blog post, along with some information about the plot of the new RPG. Called “Dragon Age: Dreadwolf,” the fourth installment in the series revolves around the dread wolf Solas, which players already met in Dragon Age: Inquisition. According to stories, the dire wolf is an ancient god of the elves who is currently trying to save them.
As the developers explain, if you haven’t encountered Solas before, don’t worry, the antagonist from the new Dragon Age will of course introduce himself to you. It is also emphasized that the core of the story is still the player – i.e. you – is, even if Solas acts as the namesake.
It was already clear that Solas would have something to do with the new Dragon Age, after all his story didn’t end in Dragon Age: Inquisition and Bioware itself started in 2018 a little teaser for the dire wolf. While it’s not clear exactly what Sola’s role in the new title will be, developers say we’ll have more information about Dragon Age: Dreadwolf later this year. However, there will be no release in 2022.
