Fortnite: Gaming icon comes to Battle Royale – Leak is right

For a few days now there have been leaks on the Internet that an old gaming icon should come to Fortnite. Pac-Man actually showed up today.

Cary, North Carolina – The biggest franchise crossover in gaming gets even bigger! For years, Epic Games’ Fortnite has been teeming with everyone and everyone who has a reputation in pop culture. Only here can characters like Spider-Man, John Wick and Kakashi Hatake clash in a single round. It’s even crazier that some of gaming’s biggest icons haven’t made an appearance in Fortnite yet. One of them has now surprisingly appeared in the item shop after a spontaneous leak. Pac-Man is now available in the Battle Royale item shop.

Where did the leak come from? An initial announcement of a crossover between Fortnite and Pac-Man came through Bandai Namco’s official channels back in May. However, there was no more precise information as to when the new cosmetics would come to the item shop. The Fortnite news platform fortnitenews recently revealed that the Pac-Man items would come to the shop on June 2nd. Funnily enough, this leak also came on June 2nd. And the website should be right about that. The new Pac-Man items have been available in Fortnite since around 2:00 p.m. on June 2, 2022.

What items are included? Bad news for hardcore Pac-Man fans. Unfortunately, there’s no full Pac-Man outfit to fly off the Battlebus as a giant, ravenous orb. Instead, the set includes a new emote called “Pac Pro” and the reactive back bling “Pac-Man”, which is available in different variations. Both items should currently appear at the top of Fortnite’s item shop.

How expensive are the items? Fortunately, if you want to secure the two new items in Fortnite, you don’t have to pay too much money for them. After all, they aren’t full skins either. The emote costs 300 V-Bucks, while the back bling costs 500 V-Bucks. So that totals 800 V-Bucks. Since the two items are only available individually, one cannot hope for any discounts through a package price.

But Pac-Man isn’t the only icon making a fresh appearance in Fortnite. Only recently has Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi become available in Fortnite. The outfit is great, but fans are really annoyed that instead of a lightsaber, only a measly bread knife came into play as a pickaxe skin.
