Horizon Call of the Mountain gets gameplay trailer, Forbidden West gets a new update

On last night’s Sony’s State of Play, one franchise in particular received a lot of attention. Horizon Call of the Mountain received a gameplay trailer while Forbidden West is expecting an update including New Game Plus.

When the mountains are calling, you put on your glasses

In Horizon Call of the Mountain, exclusive to PS VR2, experience the fantastical world between primitive tribes and machine monsters from a whole new perspective – in VR.

The gameplay trailer shows you roaming the dreamlike landscapes of Horizon with a bow and arrow and going on machine hunts.

Instead of Aloy, this time you play as Ryas, a former Shadow Carja hunter who plans to restore his standing by investigating a dangerous new threat. Aloy still has an appearance in the game.

Climbing and archery are particularly important in the mountains. You master weapons and tools, and use nature’s bounty to craft more gear. A scenic river cruise and wild battles let the PS VR2 headset show what it’s made of.

Major update for Horizon Forbidden West brings new challenge

Horizon Forbidden West is not neglected either. in the PlayStation Blog Guerrilla Games explains what features are in the new update for Aloy’s Journey to the West.

In addition to the ability to start a “New Game+” and master an ultra-hard mode, there is also a transmog function that allows players to customize the look of their outfits without making any compromises.

New trophies, a new herb vendor and some graphics and performance improvements are part of the package. According to Guerrilla Games, VRR support and a 40FPS mode are still in the works.

The update is now available for download for all Horizon Forbidden West owners.
