Lady Dimitrescu’s dream in VR comes true with Resident Evil Village coming to PS VR2
Last year, Resident Evil Village made headlines for the good because of its atmosphere, but mostly because of the big vampire lady. You’ll soon be able to experience the eerily beautiful horror up close as Resident Evil Village comes to PlayStation VR2.
VR glasses make many things better, but not everything
The game is currently in development, and the team is working flat out to make the story campaign playable in virtual reality. Lady Dimitrescu’s estate should make for a truly magnificent VR experience with its many details and textures. Oh, and how is all that wood doing in front of her door?
Especially in a horror game, the player’s body reacts as well. If you raise your arms protectively in front of your face or draw a weapon, Ethan does the same. Lady Dimitrescu’s presence is said to be too according to Capcom be felt more clearly. You can hardly experience a horror title more immersively.
Too bad the plot and all the little creeps won’t come as a surprise to fans of the series anymore. Is the additional immersion through the VR glasses worth it?
