Warzone: Patch Notes for June 2nd update – 3 big weapon nerfs included

The “highlights” of the new update: In the course of Season 3 and Season 3 Reloaded from Warzone, there were already massive adjustments to the weapon arsenal of Activision’s Battle Royale. With the update from June 2nd, there are now a few more weapon changes. The big “highlights” include three big nerfs:

  • The STG44 assault rifle – currently by far the best and most popular weapon in Warzone for many – has been nerfed. Here, the maximum damage range has been reduced from 30.1 meters to 27.9 meters. Whether that really changes anything about the dominance of the weapon and the Warzone meta remains to be seen.
  • There was also a nerf for the throwing knife. Upper torso damage reduced from 300 to 200.
  • In addition, the perk “Replenishment” was nerfed. The recharge time there has been increased from 25 to 30 seconds.

Warzone: The STG44 was by far the most popular weapon up until the June 2nd update. Let’s see if that changes now.

  • The Recon Drone has been removed from the loot pool of the Underground Fast Travel system
  • Reduced the Radar Jammer spawn rate on Rebirth Island
  • The description of the relatively new perk Serpentine has been adjusted so that it is now clearer what exactly the perk does (damage reduction only affects basic health)
  • Slight balance adjustments to the SMG H4 Blixen (nerfs for 2 attachments)
  • Moderate balance adjustments for the NZ-41 Assault Rifle (slight buffs and nerfs to the weapon itself and changes to 2 attachments)
