Fortnite: This is how the map has changed and when you can gamble again

Season 3 of Fortnite will probably start today.

The second Fortnite season of Chapter 3 ended with a brilliant finale. Fans could climb into a giant mech and travel to the zero point to catch some insights from past and upcoming seasons. But the question of what content will be implemented with the coming season remains open.

Likewise, fans do not yet know when the third season will start. We’ll tell you what changes will come with the Fortnite map and when you can expect the servers to start up.

Vibin’ to the freshest Fortnite beats

The third season of Fortnite is all about Vibin’. With a new cinematic trailer, Fortnite gives an insight into the content that awaits you with the new season. The video features Darth Vader with his Storm Troopers at an amusement park. A concert culminating in fireworks is also shown:

What changes are there to the map? Twitter user HYPEX and FortTory give a first glimpse of the new Season 3 map with their screenshots and videos. The biggest changes are in the southwest of the Fortnite island. There towers a huge purple tree, its roots spreading across the island:

There are also numerous trees with purple foliage and mushrooms sprouting up throughout this area. In the north of the island there is also a new amusement park with a huge bear’s head as a distinctive sign, which can also be seen in the trailer shown above.

The west of the island has also changed a little: only the legs remain of the statue on the small archipelago. In addition, there are small splashes of color distributed all over the beach. The rest of the Fortnite map appears to have remained largely unchanged.

Season 3 is about to begin

The aftermath of yesterday’s Fortnite event can also be seen on the map: the zero point is now underwater and a piece of the mech that players found themselves in in the Season 2 Chapter 3 finale can be found on the island.

When does Season 3 finally start? You don’t have to wait too long until the third season starts and you can enjoy the new map. You can download the new update now. We can therefore assume that the servers will be online again today. At least that’s how it was in the previous seasons.

What storage space do I need? You don’t have to free up too much storage space for the new season. For example, on PS5 you have to reserve around 5.8 GB to experience the new season.
