Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi: Season 2 is said to be planned internally

Star Wars: Obi Wan Kenobi should get a second season. At least that’s what Jason Ward, editor-in-chief of the website Makingstarwars.net, reports. In itself, the message seems relatively plausible when you think of the previous success of the series. We’ve already reported on the record start of the series on Disney Plus and the at least solid ratings for the series so far. However, a second season has not yet been officially confirmed. Ewan McGregor has hinted a while ago that he’d be quite ready to reprise the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Jason Ward is said to have contacts at Disney, according to which a continuation of the series is planned. It is not known whether this would be titled “Season 2”. In the course of the announcement of a sequel to the Obi-Wan series, Ward reported numerous spoilers and possible characters that are to appear in this very sequel.

Possible spoilers for the ending of Obi-Wan Kenobi

Apparently, by the end of the series, Reva would have of Darth Vader are to be killed. This scene is now said to have been removed from the series. Reva is said to be returning for the continuation of the Obi-Wan series, although it is not clear what position the Sith Inquisitor would be in. The Grand Inquisitor is also said to be planned for the continuation of the series. According to Ward, the end of the series itself should not have been completely thrown overboard, but only adjusted Reva’s fate.

Jason Ward again emphasizes in his post that the focus of the ending of Obi-Wan Kenobi should undoubtedly be on Obi-Wan personally and his development.
