After the next-gen upgrade, Assassin’s Creed Origins runs at a steady 4K and 60 FPS, which isn’t matched on the PlayStation 5.

Ubisoft has given Assassin’s Creed Origins a 60 FPS upgrade, which players were already able to download for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 a few days ago.

ElAnalistaDeBits has now compared the frame rate and resolution and compared the versions on the current consoles.

Assassin’s Creed Origins runs on the mentioned consoles in backward compatibility mode, which is why the frame rate is limited to 60 FPS.

On the PlayStation 5, the game runs in the old settings of the PlayStation 4 Pro and thus only in a lower resolution of a maximum of 1620p.

With almost constant 2160p, the Xbox Series X has a clear advantage here. On the Xbox Series S model, on the other hand, the resolution has been capped at 1080p.

Typically backwards compatibility games load faster on Xbox Series X|S versus PlayStation 5. Which was also the case with this game.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is also playable via Xbox Game Pass starting today, along with three other games.
