Elden Ring: New mod makes it a survival game

If FromSoftware’s instant classic Elden Ring isn’t already difficult enough for you, you can be happy. A mod for the action role-playing game that has it all was recently released. So we no longer only quarrel with dangerous opponents, but above all with our survival outside of combat.

The mod is the so-called Elden Ring: Survival Mode. This works similar to its predecessors for titles such as Fallout 4 or The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. Once downloaded, constant hunger and thirst make your life even more difficult. From now on, illnesses will also be among your adversaries, if left untreated they will kill you over the course of time.

There are also some exciting features that give the popular title an exciting new twist. For example, we’ll have to craft our weapons ourselves, as is the case in Rust or Ark: Survival Evolved. Also, the night is a lot darker than it was in the original Elden Ring. If you venture into unfamiliar territory, you should make sure that you have found a place to rest before nightfall. Each of the features is optional, you can try out all the options completely freely to find out what’s fun – or not.
