Play Switch on iPhone? New Apple feature for Nintendo fans!
On the occasion of the annual developer conference WWDC has Apple at the keynote, the one on Monday night live stream has been broadcast globally, many exciting new hits presented. Including the new own processor M2, who already in new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with 13 inches is used. There was also a lot of interesting news on the software side, in addition to the new macOS and watchOS (for the Apple Watch) with priority iOS 16 (for the iPhone) as well iPad OS 16 (for the iPads). The new software is already available in beta version and offers a first of all for Nintendo fans and Switch players exciting new feature.

It has long been possible to connect common gamepads to mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets in order to gamble with them. With iPhones, iPads and Apple TV (4K), for example, you can so far Playstation and Xbox controller connected and be used.

New Apple feature for Switch players
But the controllers of the currently most successful game console on the market were not supported – until now! Because with iOS 16 (iPhone), iPadOS 16 (iPad) and tvOS 16 (Apple TV) are finally the Nintendo Switch gamepads (buy now €359.90) compatible.
It is possible to Nintendo Switch Pro Controller to connect and use as well as the joy cons, either individually or in pairs. Especially for subscribers to Apple’s Apple Arcade games flat rate with Nintendo Switch controllers, Apple’s devices are finally offering more control options.
This is how you can connect switch controllers
So that you can connect your Switch Pro Controller and Joy-Cons to your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV (4K), you only need them as a Beta version available new variant of the operating system, i.e. iOS 16 or iPadOS 16 or tvOS 16. The beta was published on Monday evening together with the presentation at the Apple keynote and is up to date not yet recommended for use on devices that absolutely must function reliably, especially tools. The final version of the new operating system is then usually released in September together with the new iPhones.
