from Rhonda Bachman
At CES 2022, Samsung introduced the Odyssey Neo G8 monitor with mini LED backlighting. The G8 is said to be one of the first 4K gaming monitors to go beyond 144 Hertz. The G8 and its two sister models, the G7 and G4, are now to be launched worldwide.

At the last CES 2022 in January, Samsung presented its new Odyssey Neo G8 monitor. It is said to be the world’s first and fastest device to combine a curved 4K panel with a refresh rate of 240 Hertz and a response time of 1 millisecond. According to the company, the new monitor G8 and the sister models G7 and G4 are to be launched worldwide in June.

Monitors Odyssey Neo G8, G7 and G4 appear worldwide

The two curved monitors Neo G8 and G7 are similar in terms of equipment and are both 32 inches in size. But there is a difference in the refresh rate: while the Neo G8 brings the already mentioned 240 Hertz, the G7 has a maximum of 165 Hertz. The monitors come with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. Both devices will also support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

Another model in the Odyssey series is also scheduled to appear in June. This is the non-curved G4 monitor, which will be available in two sizes. This model comes in 25 or 27 inch sizes and can display a maximum of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels at a frame rate of 240 Hertz. The Full HD monitor should be equipped with all essential gaming functions and offer a “futuristic design”. The G4 is said to offer AMD FreeSync Premium and G-SYNC compatibility.

The three gaming monitors Samsung Odyssey G85NB, G75NB and G40B are scheduled to be available worldwide in June. However, the launch plans could vary by region. However, Samsung has not yet published an exact date or the prices of the various devices.
