Battlefield 2042: Season 1: Zero Hour introduced

Electronic Arts and the Battlefield team present Battlefield 2042 – Season 1: Zero Hour, the game’s first season of new content post-launch.

Available June 9th on all supported platforms, the season features a new vertical tension map, a new specialist, and tactical additions to the arsenal of weapons and gadgets.

This additional core content is available free to all players as part of the new Battlefield 2042 Battle Pass. More cosmetic items such as legendary skins and melee takedowns are available with the premium version of the Battle Pass.

In Zero Hour, game endings break on the new map “Contact“ to the Canadian Rocky Mountains and overcome the vertical terrain. Ground-to-air combat and intense infantry combat await in the caves and on the ridges. Contact is available at the start of Season 1 in All-Out Warfare and Portal.

Season One introduces Battlefield 2042’s newest Specialist, Ewelina Lis. Lis is a respected anti-vehicle expert who specializes in tracking and taking down armored land and air vehicles. Lis’ missile launcher, which fires remote-controlled missiles with precision, as well as the “tank destroyer” that provides valuable intelligence, making her a deadly opponent for any vehicle on the ground or in the air.

Zero Hour includes new vehicles and items for the collection, including the combat helicopter RAH-68 Huron and YG-99 Hannibal with radar deflection and modern defense systems. Players can choose between normal, light, heavy and explosive ammunition for the Ghostmaker R10 crossbow to adapt to different combat situations.

In All Out Warfare Take out enemies from medium range with the BSV-M Sniper Rifle and use the new Smoke Grenade Launcher both offensively and defensively to create new opportunities or provide squads with additional cover.

Zero Hour continues to fix game updates since the release of Battlefield 2042, continuously addressing stability, gameplay balancing, firefights, vehicle controls, performance and more – alongside the pillars of long-term support like the current one development update executed.

Battlefield Portal players will see the return of some iconic vehicles and experiences. Creators can look forward to a new game mode preset and expanded rules editor functionality.
