In a post on the PlayStation Blog, the developers of Bend Studio presented their new logo. It was revealed that the studio is currently working on a new IP that “builds on Days Gone’s open-world systems” and will be equipped with a multiplayer mode.

Days Gone creators Bend Studio recently looked back on their career in a blog post. The developers can already look back on 29 years of experience in the games industry and want to reflect this time with a new logo. The studio is known for titles like Siphon Filter, Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Days Gone, among others. The latter has not only been released for the PlayStation 4, but was also released for the PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in May 2021.

In addition to the renewed logo, the developers also talked about their new project. The new logo is just the beginning of the studio’s future, wrote Bend Studio’s Online Community Specialist Kevin McAllister. The developers are currently working on a new IP that will have a multiplayer and be built on top of Days Gone’s open world systems. The project would also offer a whole new world. No further details were given about the developers’ new project. However, the studio can’t wait to reveal more about the new IP when the time comes.

The developers at Bend Studio Sony have reportedly suggested a sequel to Days Gone for 2019. However, the company is said to have ultimately rejected the proposal due to the long development time of the first game and mixed reviews. John Garvin, the game director of Days Gone, also spoke in April 2021 about why there will probably be no sequel to the open world game. In his opinion, Metacritic and users who buy games on sale are to blame.
