Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as DC Hero Black Adam: First Trailer!
Back in October last year, we got a glimpse of the new superhero movie Black Adam, starring none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. In the DC comics, Black Adam is the classic nemesis of Shazam, who also received his own film. In the new film, however, Black Adam doesn’t function as a simple supervillain, but rather as an antihero of sorts.

The first proper trailer for the new film has finally been released, giving fans a first glimpse of Jonsohn’s portrayal of Black Adam. Of course, as expected, the trailer also features plenty of action scenes that the actor is so well known for.
The film itself will probably also cover the origin story of the antihero. Teth-Adam, Johnson’s character’s real name, lived as a slave in the fictional country of Kahndaq 5,000 years ago. Granted powerful superpowers, he leads a revolution but ends up abusing his newfound powers and being imprisoned for 5,000 years.
After he can finally enjoy his freedom again after all this time, he will probably have to deal with the Justice League of America, which also have their hands full with the real villain of the story, who is said to be from “Aladdin” star Marwan Kenzari is played.
More details about the plot of the film are not yet known. However, since the film will not be released in German cinemas until October 20th of this year, we will probably receive a few more trailers, which will reveal a little more details about the upcoming film. Incidentally, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson himself declared in January this year that he wants to bring one of the “biggest games” to the big screen.
