Fortnite Sniper Rifle DMR

Since Season 3 was released in Fortnite, players also have the opportunity to try out new weapons. We’ll show you for whom the new weapons are worthwhile, what they’re capable of and whether it’s worth using them in battle.

Which weapons are they? In Season 3, players not only got a new map and finally peace, but also new weapons to continue destroying each other in Battle Royale. These three weapons are:

  • Precision Rifle (DMR)
  • Hammer Assault Rifle
  • Two-shot shotgun

We’ll walk you through each weapon in more detail, explain where its best uses are, and give you all the information you need to know to outplay your opponents.

Important information about the weapons – damage, magazine size and more

All Epic Games weapons have strengths and weaknesses, but some guns are best ignored. They either cannot prevail or are too unwieldy to use. This is what these weapons can do:

Precision Rifle (DMR)

Fortnite Sniper Rifle DMR
The DMR

Is it worth using and if so, for whom? The sniper rifle has its strengths above all on a huge range. With the generous zoom of the sight you can compete against a sniper rifleman and even win. Due to the large magazine you have more ammunition and therefore more endurance than with a sniper.

The damage can also be seen. Although he is subject to a sniper rifle, the rate of fire and the magazine make up for the penalty.

A solid and handsome weapon that can find a place in the inventory of many long-range players.

Important information about the weapon:

  • Damage: amounts to 45.0 – 58.0 (depending on value)
  • Reload rate: takes 2.75 – 2.125 seconds (depending on rank)
  • Magazine size: 10 bullets

Where to find them: All over the map, in chests, on the ground, on vending machines and on reality seedlings.

Hammer Assault Rifle

The Hammer Assault Rifle

Is it worth using and if so, for whom? The Hammer Assault Rifle should be your favorite Assault Rifle of Season 3. The hammer scores well at any distance. Its unusual recoil pattern can benefit you when countersteering – giving you more precision.

The rifle shows its true strength above all at medium distances or when destroying buildings. The high DPS value of up to 203 points destroys everything within a suitable range. Make sure, however, that you don’t overdo it, a sniper can’t surpass the gun.

If you’re looking for an assault rifle in Season 3, give the hammer a try. It doesn’t have that name for nothing.

Important information about the weapon:

  • Damage: amounts to 27.0 – 35.0 (depending on value)
  • Reload rate: takes 2.42 – 1.87 seconds (depending on rank)
  • Magazine size: 20 bullets

Where to find them: All over the map, in chests, on the ground, on vending machines and on reality seedlings.

Per

  • Can cover all distances excellently
  • High damage
  • Special recoil provides more accuracy
against

  • Slow rate of fire
  • small magazine for an assault rifle

Two-shot shotgun

Fortnite two-shot shotgun
The two-shot shotgun

Is it worth using and if so, for whom? The two-shot shotgun is difficult to master. She can mow down opponents in capable hands. But in a team fight, you’d probably go down with her, as each salvo of a shot triggers a delay.

So you have to wait a few seconds for each additional shot, which makes you vulnerable.

Paired with an SMG or an MP, you can certainly get one or two kills with it, but don’t expect much from it. There are other shotguns on the map that easily beat the two-shot in range and reload rate.

Important information about the weapon:

  • Damage: amounts to 54.0 – 69.0 (depending on value)
  • Reload rate: takes 9.24 – 7.14 seconds (depending on rank)
  • Magazine size: 8 bullets

Where to find them: All over the map, in chests, on the ground, on vending machines and on reality seedlings.

Per

  • High damage
  • Fires two bullets
  • Big magazine
against

  • Delay after a salvo
  • Slow reload
  • Short range

We have now looked at all the new weapons for you and tested in battles how well they score in contrast to their predecessors.

Please note: This list is a compilation of the new weapons, which I and many other players rate as such – but this does not necessarily apply to you. As always, in the end it comes down to personal taste, individual preferences and also quite simply whether you can get along with the respective weapon at all or not.

Just because many think it’s good or the values are top doesn’t automatically mean that you’ll be able to cope with it in such a way that it also performs well for you.

Feel free to tell us in the comments how you feel about the new weapons and whether you agree with us or have had different experiences.
