The Best Legendary Gem in Diablo Immortal and why everyone wants it

Pay2Win opinions differ on the Legendary Gems in Diablo Immortal. But which of the coveted 5-star gemstones is actually the best and what does that part have to offer? MeinMMO has the answer.

Which gem is it? A total of 6 legendary gems can be socketed in your equipment and each gem has its own special effect.

MeinMMO has looked at tier lists and player ratings, and one of the ?/5-star gems in particular is always at the top of the list:

• Blood-Soaked Jade
  • Increases Resonance & Battle Rating according to Stars and Gem Rank
  • Increases your damage dealt by up to 8% and your movement speed by 10%. The bonus damage decreases when you are low on health, down to a minimum of 4%.
  • From Rank 5: 15% better chance of finding magic items.
  • From Rank 3: Take 2% less damage when you are below 50% Health.

Why is the jade stone so strong? The gem is considered extremely strong shortly after the release of Diablo Immortal and also suits every class.

You instantly get 8% more damage with no prerequisites. Even with low health, at least 4% damage remains, which is also decent. There’s a bit of damage reduction on top of that.

Compared to most other 5-star Legendary Gems, Bloodsoaked Jade isn’t dependent on chance, and that’s what makes the difference in the end.

Which legendary gems (?/5 stars) are also considered very strong? Also at the top is “Drip Bile”. A gem that offers a lot of randomness, but spreads damage over time and arcs to nearby enemies:

• Dripping bile
  • Increases Resonance & Battle Rating according to Stars and Gem Rank
  • Attacks have a 4% chance to poison enemies. Deals 25% base damage and 263 damage every second for 6 seconds. If an affected enemy dies, the poison spreads. A target can only be affected by the poison every 20 seconds.
  • From Rank 5: 15% better chance of finding magic items.
  • From Rank 3: Poison reduces enemy movement speed by 6%.

Especially in large groups, the bile causes terror. Due to the rather low chance of poisoning, this legendary gemstone cannot avoid the top jade.

How do I get Legendary Gems (?/5 Stars)? There are 3 main sources of Legendary Gems:

• Elder Portals with Emblems enabled
• player market
• ingame shop

You always have a chance at Legendary Gems via the Elder Portals. However, in order to have a chance at the good ?/5-star gems, you must use a “Legendary Emblem”. You can buy these emblems in the shop or, to a limited extent, from the so-called “Hilt dealer”.

However, the 5-star stones can also drop as 1-star gems with reduced resonance and combat rating values. That’s why we write the “?” on the gemstones.

The actual chance of a “real” 5-star gemstone is vanishingly small.

• 4.5% chance for a ?/5 star gem
  • 1% chance for this gem to have 5 stars
  • 75% chance that this gem has 2 stars

On the player market, other players offer their found gems for platinum. For the really good stones, however, you have to dig deep into your pocket. At the time of writing, a 4-star Bloodsoaked Jade costs 320,000 Platinum on the El’Druin server.

Sometimes offers in the real money shop will also award you with a Legendary Gem. Shortly after the release, you will find a package with the legendary gemstone “Blessing of the Worthy” with 2 out of 5 possible stars for 25.99 euros in the “Specials” items. There are also emblems and gem dust.

The Legendary Gems with 5 out of 5 stars are fueling the discussion about Pay2Win in Diablo Immortal due to their absurd rarity.

However, the main bonuses – ie the special effects – are the same on all stones and the advantage of a gem with 5/5 stars is limited.
