Stranger Things Star David Harbour: “World of Warcraft Ruined My Life!”

Stranger Things: Eleven and Her Friends.

Henry Cavill, the star of Netflix’s The Witcher, holds a place in the hearts of his fans because not only does he have a charming demeanor and Olympic build, but also because he’s a real PC gamer-is.

During a Geeked Week live stream of another hit Netflix series, Stranger Things, we heard from the man who could well be the anti-Henry: David Harbour, delighting audiences with his own excellent but slightly different experience with video games.

“World of Warcraft ruined my life!”

Host Felicia Day mentions in an interview with Harbor and Winona Ryder that she and Harbor recently talked about World of Warcraft. “Oh my god, this is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me”Harbor says.

“In 2005, I played this game ’til I dropped! It ruined my life for about a year. I mean, I was out of my mind. I was totally addicted to this video game. I was a night elf warrior named Noradand he was the second tank in my entire guild.”

Day, who is no stranger to WoW herself, asked Harbor if he was a raider, to which Harbor quickly said yes, while co-star Winona Ryder stared at him in silence with a worried expression on her face. Harbor then explained that while World of Warcraft ruined his life, but that it took a completely different game to make that clear to him.

When the Sims bring you to your senses

“This is so funny because I played The Sims too. Have you ever played The Sims?” he continued. “You could be an actor on The Sims. You can advance in your career, but you have to work on some things. You have to work on your speech and your body.

I remember my avatar reaching a certain stage in his career and I kept trying to get him to work on his language. He was kind of a supporting actor, though I wanted him to work on his speech and his body, but he just wanted to sit around and play video games. And then I thought: Wow, I had a kind of epiphany at that momentin which I saw my life before my eyes.
