Warzone 2: CoD expert nervous about a feature – will it become a problem?

Which CoD experts are you talking about? The CoD expert is JGOD. The YouTuber was one of the lucky ones invited by Infinity Ward to the studio for a preview of Modern Warfare 2. There was probably also information about Warzone 2. After the worldwide reveal, he published a video in which he also talked about the multiplayer of Modern Warfare 2, among other things.

This feature makes the CoD expert nervous: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 have the same relationship to each other as Modern Warfare 2019 and Warzone. The games use the same engine and are closely related. This means Modern Warfare 2 gameplay carries over into Warzone 2. Also the new swim and dive feature.

In Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 it will be possible to swim and dive, among other things. Infinity Ward is going for a little more realism in the next two games. This manifests itself in primary weapons not working underwater, only pistols. However, their balls have changed ballistics there. For Warzone 2, this feature makes JGOD nervous.

Warzone 2: Swimming and diving could cause problems

Why is JGOD making the feature edgy? In Warzone, the Overkill perk is extremely popular because players want to use two primary weapons in the loadout. Due to a map leak for Warzone 2, the layout of the map is now known. There will also be water there. JGOD’s concern: If the final zone of a round of Warzone 2 falls on an area with a lot of water, you have almost no chance if you only have primary weapons with you.

Is the concern justified? At least it’s understandable. Since not much else is known about Warzone 2, it cannot be said definitively whether there will be problems. Especially since it is still completely unclear how the leaked loadout mechanism in Warzone 2 works. In addition, it is still completely open whether you can carry more than two weapons anyway. According to the leak, there is a new inventory for Warzone 2.

Of course, it’s possible that JGOD has more inside information on this that makes him frown. For everyone else, all that remains is good old waiting for the Santa Monica publisher to comment on Warzone 2. It doesn’t seem like you need a lot of patience. Warzone 2 will probably be released in 2022.
