Dragon Age gets animated series on Netflix: Dragon Age Absolution
As part of Geeked Week Has Netflix now also an animated series for the well-known game series Dragon Age announced. The wait for the fourth part doesn’t end there, but the time until then could be sweetened a little.
Details and Release of Dragon Age: Absolution
The new animated Netflix series will Dragon Age: Absolution are called and is created in cooperation with BioWarethe development studio of the well-known “Dragon Age” games.
It is one standalone series, which is inspired by the vast universe of the Dragon Age franchise. In doing so, however new characters introduced and their own story told.
During the fifth day of Geeked Week were still not too much detail told about the series. It would be particularly interesting to know what the series is actually about and how fit into the story of the games could.
Netflix is said to have confirmed that the series set to take place in the Tevinter Empirewhich points to a direct link to the announced fourth part Dragon Age: Dreadwolf indicates.
The series will appear according to the trailer in December 2022. Until then, however, much more information about the series and its lore is expected.
Dragon Age series background
Dragon Age came first 2009 on the market. The franchise includes the three main games Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age: Inquisitionof which some small offshoots were released over time.
The last part was though 2014 was published and since then fans of the series have been eagerly awaiting more stories from this universe. Four years ago the fourth part was finally announced, whose Release is not quite certain yet. But it would be possible that “Dragon Age: Dreadwolf” next year is published.
