Minecraft Legends: New strategy spin-off coming in 2023

The Minecraft universe is slowly growing. Not only does Minecraft itself get some crossovers with other games, such as Sonic The Hedgehog, but there are now real spin-offs for the title. For example, Minecraft Dungeons brings action RPG gameplay to the game, allowing you to run through different maps, slaughter numerous monsters, and obtain increasingly powerful equipment in true Diablo fashion.

New Minecraft spin-off announced

Now with Minecraft (buy now €21.90) Legends announced a new action strategy game. As the trailer’s description reads, the game lets you explore a “familiar yet mysterious landscape teeming with life, lush biomes, and abundant resources.” However, the area is threatened by the Piglins who want to corrupt the “Overworld”. To prevent this, you ally yourself with different factions and lead them in strategic battles.

Minecraft Legends is slated for release in 2023 for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox and PC Game Pass. According to the showcase itself, all games shown are scheduled to be released within the next twelve months, so we can probably expect a release by June 2023 at the latest.
