Overwatch 2 is free-to-play and will enter Early Access in October

Overwatch fans should have loved the Xbox and Bethesda showcase. Not only does Blizzard announce that Overwatch 2 will now be free-to-play, a fixed date for the start of Early Access has now also been set.

Two good news at once

Fans have been waiting for this for a long time. Overwatch 2 joins many other competitive shooters and will be free to play. This is revealed by a lettering that Blizzard displays during the wild video for the title. Another surprise at the end of the clip: Early Access begins on October 4th. A date players have been hoping for for a long time.

Blizzard has not yet given any further details on the individual statements, but with these two statements, they have certainly made themselves very popular with Overwatch players and interested parties.

The developer can really use some good news after Diablo Immortal’s poor Metacritic rating.
