250,000 people are already celebrating Minecraft Legends – what is that anyway?

The trailer for the new game from the creators of Minecraft was able to generate over 2.6 million views and almost 250,000 likes on YouTube. Minecraft Legends is hotly debated and many are already hyping the game. But what is actually behind it? MeinMMO summarizes what Minecraft Legends is all about.

What is Minecraft Legends? Usually in Minecraft, your enemies are such mobs as zombies, skeletons, and creepers, but in the latest game, that’s not the case.

You take on the role of a fearless hero who unites all creatures and living beings to fight against evil.

The Piglins from Hell break through to the peaceful, light upper world and want to make it their world, full of darkness, fire and lava. You must prevent them from doing so with the help of the unfamiliar allies. From minute 1:09 you can see this clearly in the trailer.

Minecraft as an action strategy game and with multiplayer

What genre does the game serve? Minecraft Legends is essentially a strategy game, but it has mechanics inspired by action games. So you are in the third-person perspective, you are on a horse and you can swing a sword around you.

The strategy aspect comes into play when you have to command your army of allies to fight the Piglins. You protect villagers and prevent settlements and the upper world from being destroyed by opponents.

Furthermore, you have to build your own base, defend it and explore the world full of different biomes.

What is the online multiplayer like? In PvP, you can challenge your friends and defend your village while fighting with your allies against them.

You can also team up to fight evil together. It is currently unknown for how many players this will ultimately be possible at the same time.

For which consoles is the game released? Minecraft Legends is available for Xbox, PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Steam and mobile devices. The game will also appear in the Xbox Game Pass upon release.

When will Minecraft Legends be released? An exact date has not yet been given, but they announced it for 2023. You can open the game Steam already on your wish list.
