Anyone who uses Amazon Prime will receive information about upcoming changes to the terms of use. Specifically, Amazon adjusts the point under which circumstances a price increase can occur. The shipping giant took a similar approach in April before the fees for the music subscription Amazon Music increased at the end of May golem.de summarizes.
The changes to the conventional Prime subscription are scheduled to take effect on July 11. An increase could then occur a short time later. Subscribers to the discounted student tariff are also affected.
Who until the new terms come into effect take out a Prime subscription pays the price valid until then for the duration of the contract. That’s currently 69 euros a year or 7.99 euros a month. For students, that’s 34 or 3.99 euros.
