The latter JRPG from Atlus is a feast for every genre fan for several reasons. The interlocking of the genre-typical fights in the fictional metaverse, the realistic activities in everyday school life and the motivating role-playing framework works brilliantly, the story is exciting, the characters are likeable and the fantastic audio-visual style is still unparalleled today.

In principle, Persona 5 has only two major weaknesses. Number 1: It is so incredibly extensive. For a run you have to plan about 80 to 100 hours (or even more). This also results in one or the other length, and the good story only slowly gets rolling. Number 2: The Persona series, which in turn is a spin-off from the Megami Tensei series, was primarily at home in the Playstation cosmos for many years, and Persona 5 is no exception.
