Resident Evil Village will soon let you play as Lady Dimitrescu

You can now play a Resident Evil Village demo in your browser (1)

In June last year, Capcom announced a DLC for the popular Resident Evil Village. Now the publisher revealed as part of their Capcom Showcasewhich is exactly what fans of the title can look forward to.

What’s new for Resident Evil Village?

First, there is a third-person mode for Village, which many fans have probably wished for. Here you can play through the full campaign while staring at Ethan Winters’ adorable back. Of course, there are also a lot of new animations that might even make it worth trying another playthrough. It probably gets interesting because Capcom mistreated Ethan’s hands in their last two Resident Evil parts. Since these were often the only thing the player ever saw of Ethan, it made sense to focus on them. Everyone will have to decide for themselves whether the various scenes from Village also have the same scary factor in third person.

Furthermore, the “Mercenaries” return in a DLC package. This mode is all about defeating tons of monsters, which according to Capcom should also happen on completely new stages. By the way, in Mercenaries you can not only play as Ethan Winters, but also as the well-loved Chris Redfield, with all his military strength. The antagonist Heisenberg will also be available as a playable character. As if that weren’t enough, Capcom has now answered every player’s wish: In Mercenaries mode, players can also take control of the lovely Lady Dimitrescu. As you can see in the gameplay video shown, as the vampire lady you can not only massacre opponents with your sharp claws, but also throw oversized furniture at them.

Finally, there is also a completely new campaign. As at the end of Resident Evil Village (buy now ) was hinted at, you play in Shadows of Rose Ethan Winters’ daughter, Rose. In the new story mode, you will experience Rose’s battle with the dangerous powers she was born with. In order to break this curse, she enters the consciousness of the Megamycete and encounters a figure that looks exactly like herself. Here she is assisted by an entity named Michael. Incidentally, Shadows of Rose plays entirely in a third-person perspective, and not only creepy creatures, but also the world stands in your way here.
