Rumour: Next Nintendo Direct is set to take place on June 29th and that could be revealed

The Nintendo players are hoping for more than just small trailers for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 in a possible Direct.

This year, too, the big publishers are launching their own showcases due to the failed E3. In its State of Play, Sony showed the latest game hits for PS4, PS5 and PSVR2, while yesterday evening Microsoft and Bethesda presented all titles that are to be released for Xbox Series X/S and PC in the next 12 months.

Therefore, the question now remains open as to when the third major publisher will follow suit. Nintendo hasn’t revealed any plans to hold its own presentation at the canceled E3. But if we believe the statements of a supposed insider, it could be in a few weeks.

Nintendo Direct scheduled for late June

After commenting on the Microsoft & Bethesda Showcase on Twitch, Alanah Pearce also commented on a possible Nintendo Direct. She takes a quick look at her documents and can identify a specific date for the next Direct.

When will the next Direct take place? According to Pearce, Nintendo’s next presentation should take place on June 29, 2022, so in just a few weeks:

Who is the insider? Alanah Pearce used to work at IGN and is now employed by Sony Santa Monica. This suggests that she has many contacts in the video game industry and could therefore have solid information.

However, as always, we should treat this information with caution. Nintendo has not yet officially commented on a possible date and Pearce also states that this information does not come from Nintendo itself. If the Direct actually takes place on June 29, 2022, we should find out in the coming days.

But it’s not entirely unlikely: Last year, Nintendo even held its E3 Direct on June 15, 2021. So it could actually be that the insider leak is true.

The question remains as to which games could be shown at the possible Nintendo Direct. Thanks to the Microsoft & Bethesda Showcase, fans should probably no longer hope for the Hollow Knight: Silksong Shadowdrop.

But for some time now, Nintendo fans have been asking for more material and a concrete release date for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. Nintendo had to console the fans with a smaller trailer in the last Direct and promised to provide more information in the future.

Also, according to rumors, there could be a new Fire Emblem (Not Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes), a remaster of Metroid Primea successor to Super Mario Odyssey and a bundle with Zelda: The Wind Waker and Zelda: Twilight Princess give.
