Update from 06/14/2022, 08:14: At MediaMarkt and Saturn you can try your luck again today. Yesterday the local pre-order campaign started in numerous MMS branches. In big cities, the pre-order contingent should already be mostly exhausted, but you could still have success in smaller cities. So if you have a MediaMarkt or a Saturn branch within reach – drive by and ask.

Update from 06/13/2022, 07:13: If you are interested in the local campaign at MediaMarkt and Saturn: Today is likely to be THE big day in most branches – even if some markets started on Saturday. So if you want to grab a PlayStation 5, then it’s best to visit the nearest MMS branch right at the opening today. Because you can only pre-order on site in the markets, you can’t do it online.

According to the current status, the bundle with the PS5 (with drive), Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7, which is already known from the online drops, is offered for €644.99, and in some markets there is apparently an additional guarantee. You have to pay a deposit of 100 € on site and can then pick up the console in 4 weeks at the latest.

However, keep in mind: It is not known which and how many branches are participating in the campaign. And the console quota is limited in the participating markets. So success is not 100% guaranteed.

Incidentally, MediaMarkt and Saturn are not the only two retailers where things could get exciting again in the new week. Update from 06/12/2022, 10:24 a.m.: In the meantime, almost 20 participating MMS branches have already been confirmed by reports from the PS5 hunter scene, which started the campaign yesterday. Several other markets have also reportedly announced that they will launch tomorrow. In general, it is expected that the majority of MediaMarkt and Saturn branches will not take part in the campaign until tomorrow. So if you have a local MMS branch near you, try your luck tomorrow. Incidentally, many, but not all, of the more than 400 German branches are likely to take part in the campaign.

Update from June 11, 2022, 1:50 p.m.: There are some indications that a large-scale pre-order campaign will take place in Germany on Monday. So far only the branch in 67549 Worms is known. You should definitely keep an eye on this article on Monday though, and have your phone handy to call your local MediaMarkt or Saturn store.

Update from 06/11/2022, 1:37 p.m.: MediaMarkt and Saturn seem to have started a pre-order campaign in some stores. On forum.de some report that you can currently pre-order the PlayStation 5 in a bundle with Gran Tourismo 7 and Horizon Forbidden West for 644.99 euros in the MediaMarkt in Worms. We do not yet know whether there are other markets that offer the console for pre-order. It’s best to call your local market and ask.
