Rebellion against slavery: Tales of Arise revolves around the two twin worlds of Rena and Dahna. The magically and technologically superior denizens of Rena enslaved the denizens of the actually larger Dahna three hundred years ago. According to a small resistance group that we join, it is high time to change that. The complex story, which skilfully mixes science fiction and fantasy, is completely original. So you don’t need to have played any previous installments in the Tales series to understand them.
Varied game world: Dahna is divided into five major areas, each associated with one of the five elements of fire, water, wind, earth and ice. Accordingly, the landscapes, cities, dungeons and of course the enemies in the areas differ quite significantly from each other. If we don’t follow the story or do the (unfortunately not always interesting) side quests, we can also look for other occupations such as fishing or dedicating ourselves to animal husbandry. Nevertheless, the world seems a bit static in places, also because we cannot enter many of the houses.

There we deliver action-packed real-time battles in which numerous special attacks are used. If we want, we can switch between the members of our party. The ones we’re not currently playing will be taken over by the AI. The boss fights against the lords are particularly demanding. These are the rulers of the five areas that we have to eliminate one by one.
Great staging: In addition, Tales of Arise scores with the great staging. Not only does the game world offer breathtaking landscapes and opulent buildings.
