Games News Podcast 721: Xbox and Bethesda Showcase
This week we are still busy with the E3 replacement week in the Games Aktuell podcast. This time we’re taking an in-depth look at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase. Host Matthias has invited Michi and Xbox fan Carlo to the virtual sound booth. There’s a lot to talk about. What’s up with Redfield? Why is Overwatch 2 now Free2Play? How did Josh Sawyer come up with the idea of making a game in Upper Bavaria? And why doesn’t the spark in Diablo 4 really want to jump over yet? The big highlight of the show and also of our discussion is of course Starfield, to which Bethesda finally gave detailed insights. Here Carlo and Matthias in particular face each other with their opinions. We talk about the feeling, the promised features like building bases and spaceships, and discuss whether a game world made up of a thousand planets is really such a good idea. The fact that there is a great need for discussion is also shown by the fact that in the end we no longer get to the meetings of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Street Fighter 6 that are actually still planned. Of course, there was still time for the only community contribution of the day.
