Cosplay of Rey from Star Wars has a lot of potential for confusion

Especially after the airing of Star Wars: Episode 9, Disney has focused on releasing character-specific series. A good example is Star Wars: Obi Wan Kenobi, which celebrates its season finale next week, but The Mandalorian was also such a spin-off. One of the most important figures from the “new” era is the young Rey, a character who is often cosplayed. For years it was not clear who her parents were.

Cosplayer looks confusingly similar to the original

The resourceful cosplayer named karenscarlet1 went to the trouble of creating a Rey cosplay. She paid attention to many small details. Since the young Jedi comes from the remote desert planet Jakku, she wears a white robe made of thin fabric with leather buckles on her arms. The cosplayer’s resemblance to the original actress by Rey, Daisy Ridley however, is amazing. At first glance, one could easily think that Ridley slipped into her old role here herself.

The character Rey made his debut in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Disney ushered in a new era with the 2015 film. The beginning of a sequel trilogy left many fans ambivalent at first, but over time many fans took it at least partially into their hearts.
