WoW: Blizzard plans massive nerfs for mythical mausoleum

WoW: Shadowlands Dungeons Bonus Week

from Sarah Petzold
Responding to community feedback on the Mythic difficulty level in the Raid Mausoleum of the First, WoW developers are planning a whole host of nerfs for the upcoming maintenance. In particular, Anduin Wrynn and the jailer are at stake.

Do you also have the feeling that the bosses on the Mythic difficulty level in the Mausoleum of the First are too powerful? If so, you are not alone with this opinion. The WoW developers have announced in an official blue post that the community has repeatedly approached them with requests for adjustments. These adjustments will therefore now be made, with which the raid will once again be significantly nerfed.

Unavoidable wipes should be avoided

Blizzard will be implementing a slew of nerfs to the Mausoleum with the upcoming maintenance on June 22, 2022. The blue post says:
We’ve heard feedback that many encounters in Mausoleum of the First would benefit from tweaks because they’re too heavy due to punitive mechanics, and we want to further reduce the likelihood of these mechanics quickly creating an unavoidable wipe. We also received feedback that the Lihuvium encounter was too limited in terms of difficulty for some Automa, so we wanted to make some adjustments to allow players different strategies for combat.

Specifically, you can expect the following changes:

  • Lihuvim
  • Halondrus
    • damage from aftermath reduced by 75 percent
    • Planet Buster Beam damage reduced by 65 percent and frequency of occurrence reduced
  • Anduin Wrynn
    • Increased hopelessness and high spirits duration from 12 to 16 seconds (all difficulties)
    • Blasphemy no longer triggers when touching an untagged player
    • damage from March of the Damned reduced by 75 percent (all difficulties)
    • damage and movement speed of soul explosion reduced by 30 percent (all difficulties)
    • duration of action banish soul increased from 12 to 16 seconds
    • duration of action Necrotic Detonation increased by 30 percent
  • Rygelon
    • Blackout now only targets three players instead of four
    • Unstable Matter health reduced by 25 percent
  • The Jailer
