San Francisco – Pokémon GO will host another Community Day in June 2022. The special Pokémon is really worth it this time: Kapuno (Deino in English). The little rascal is of the dragon/dark type and is really sought-after and rare, especially as a shiny. Niantic even brightens the day for trainers with other bonuses that you should not miss.

Pokémon GO: Community Day June 2022 – all information about the event with Kapuno
When is Community Day in June? Pokémon Go hosts a so-called Community Day every month. On this one day, a special monster is the focus for a few hours and there are additional bonuses.
On June 25, 2022, it’s Kapuno’s turn in Community Day! The important times on Saturday are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (local time). So trainers have three hours to catch the little dragon – hopefully in the rare Shiny variant.

There are these bonuses: So that you can really enjoy June 25th, Community Day comes with some cool bonuses. Most of the extras are only active from 11am to 2pm on Saturday, but some last longer, we’ve marked those.
- Double Catch Candy
- Double chance of XL Candy for Kapuno when caught
- Eggs in incubators hatch four times faster
- Smoke and decoy module last three hours
- Exchange costs 50% less stardust (until 7 p.m.)
- Snapshots with a surprise encounter
- Group bonuses from Lure Modules at PokéStops spawn Duodino (evolved from Kapuno).
- Raids with Duodino at level 4 spawn Kapuno around the arena for 30 minutes (until 7pm)
- Special research “Field Notes: Kapuno” for €1 in the in-game shop
- Event stickers at PokéStops and in gifts and event cosmetic “Kapuno Hat” in the shop for 150 PokéCoins
On June 25, we’ll tell you whether the special research for Community Day with Kapuno, which costs around one euro, is worth it. This article will then be updated with the latest information.
Whether there will be free balls for everyone in the shop, as is usual with older Community Days, is not yet known, but it is likely.
Pokémon GO: good chances of a rare Shiny in June 2022
What about Shiny Kapuno? The shiny variant of Kapuno and its two evolutions, Duodion and Trikephalo, are already in play. This gives trainers the chance to win Shinys on Community Day on June 25, 2022. And you should take the chance, because Kapuno has been very rare, especially as a variant with alternative colors.

Exclusive attack for Kapuno in Community Day June 2022 – That’s how strong Wirbler is
This is the new attack for Hydreigon: During the event on June 25th, you can Kapuno Evolve Hydreigon to learn such an event-exclusive move: Brutal Swing. You have until 7 p.m. to learn and develop, which is 5 hours after Community Day.
- Twirl is a non-light type Charged Attack
- 65 damage in trainer battles
- 65 damage in Arena and Raid battles
It is currently unknown how strong the new charge attack whirl will actually be. So far, Hydreigon uses the dark-type move Dark Aura. This does slightly more damage (80) but also charges longer. If Spinner turns out to be an upgrade, that will make the dragon a whole lot stronger.
Pokémon GO: Community Day May 2022 – How good is the event with Kapuno?
That’s why the Community Day is worthwhile: Kapuno has been around in Pokémon Go for a while, but the nasty dragon has been pretty rare until now. Shiny hunters in particular should be happy to finally welcome the otherwise rare monster in their collection.
But your Pokédex isn’t the only one to thank you: The further development of Kapuno,Trikephalo has high attack values and a good type combination with dragon and dark (but watch out for fairy attacks). If Twirl turns out to be a better Dark move, you won’t want to miss Community Day.
Due to the numerous opportunities such as Kapuno spawns in the wild, raids and group bonuses, you should quickly create a decent supply in combination with double catch candies. Those who also diligently cover kilometers hatch eggs for the event in record time thanks to the quarter incubation distance.

Tips for June’s Community Day with Kapuno in Pokémon GO
How to prepare: Since the Community Day is really worthwhile in June 2022, you should make some preparations in advance. The 3 hour event duration on Saturday is quite short. So go into the event with a few hundred balls to get off to a flying start.
If you want to secure the event-exclusive attack, you need a total of 125 candies to evolve into Hydreigon. Also, have a Lure Module and a smoke handy if you plan on not walking that much. However, empty your incubator and put eggs in it during the event – shortly before the end of the event you should also add fresh eggs again, as you will benefit from hatching times that are four times as fast after the event.
