Treasure: Studio is teasing a new game for its 30th birthday

Treasure (Unternehmen) von

The Japanese cult company Treasure could celebrate a comeback after a long dry spell – on the studio’s 30th birthday there is a sign of life and also an announcement from the makers of Ikaruga, among others.

What is your favorite Treasure action hero game? Captain Obvious, meaning the Mega Drive classic Gunstar Heroes? Or maybe the lesser-known Dynamite Headdy or Alien Soldier? Silhouette Mirage for Saturn or Bangai-O for the N64? Mine is Bangai-O HD: Missile Fury – that totally blew me away on Xbox 360. But I could also accept Sin and Punishment (whether part 1 or 2), the awesome Radiant Silvergun, Treasure’s PS2 masterpiece Gradius 5, or the never-aging Ikaruga as an answer. Or do you come out as a handheld hero and choose the GBA fireworks Astro Boy: Omega Factor or as a GameCube fan and come around the corner with Wario World?

Whatever you decide, it’s a good choice. Because the list of Treasure’s strong to excellent games is very long. Unfortunately, since the Gaist Crusher titles for 3DS, there has been a shift in the shaft at the traditional company, which had more or less split off from Konami in 1992. Until now. Because for the 30th company birthday there was an anniversary tweet from the studio yesterday, in connection with an announcement: According to Treasure, they are working hard on a new title and are already looking forward to unveiling this much-anticipated game.
