It could be about twins: According to the leak from Twitter user mattheusvictorbr (via: XFire) the story of GTA 6 revolves around a pair of siblings, more precisely twins. Their parents die at the hands of a drug cartel in South America when they are both children. Sister and brother are then separated. He ends up in the USA, where he ends up with the pseudo-DEA DEO, an anti-drug agency. She, on the other hand, works her way up the ranks of the South American cartel and becomes a real killer. With the aim of getting revenge at some point.
Drug cartel war from both sides? The prologue is supposed to show the death of the parents in Brazil and that would fit in with the fact that there was always talk of a South American setting and time jumps. However, the main story of the game is said to be set in 2023 or 2024. Perhaps the most intriguing part is the conflict between the siblings, who find out “the hard way” that they are on opposite sides of the drug and cartel wars. Vice City as a possible location: In line with the cartel story, GTA 6 should take us to Miami-inspired Vice City. But Cuba, Colombia and Carcer City, known from Manhunt, could also play a role. That sounds logical and fits with many of the previous guesses and leaks, from the locations to the story to the playable female protagonist. In any case, we wouldn’t be surprised if this leak turns out to be real.
When is GTA 6 coming? That might take a while. The latest leak mentions a planned release in 2024. But we wouldn’t bet on that anyway. As is well known, hope dies last and that would also go well with the allegedly targeted story period.
