The Stormfall update is released for Star Trek Online on consoles, the Lohlunat Festival begins and a cooperation with CherryTree is pending.

Gearbox Publishing and Cryptic Studios announce that Star Trek Online’s latest update, Stormfall, is available now on PlayStation and Xbox. Additionally, on June 30th, the annual Lohlunat Festival begins and a partnership with CherryTree Inc. takes place.

Launch of Stormfall on consoles

Original actors from Voyager, Deep Space Nine and Discovery join forces in Stormfall. In the game’s latest update, players will learn that Captain Tilly (Mary Wiseman) and her Terran forces plan to bring back a dangerous enemy from the past.

The Captains join forces with Marshal Janeway (Kate Mulgrew), Admiral Leeta (Chase Masterson), and an Andorian rebel named “Rae-Yeet” (Noah Averbach-Katz) to thwart the Terran Empire’s plans.

Stormfall also brings a ton of exciting gameplay content to consoles for the first time:

  • Two Special Episodes: Players of all factions can play two new episodes: “All Blue” and “The Calling”. Fans join forces with Admiral Leeta and the Terran Marshal Janeway to rescue Ilia and stop the Terran forces from creating a powerful new enemy.
  • Revamped Starfleet Tutorial: The Starfleet Tutorial has received a major update. Not only will this addition provide aspiring Captains with a more streamlined starting experience, it has also been updated with new environments and additional interactions with the Borg and Admiral Janeway.
  • Task Force Reimagine: Forged in Fire is a reimagining of the popular Assault on Terok Nor. In this five-player Ground Task Force team, they assemble an assault team to stop Admiral Leeta, who now wields the power of the Pah Spirits, incorporeal beings that once inhabited the Bajoran wormhole.
  • Heart of the Storm Special Event: Anyone who plays multiple Episodes and Task Force Operations in the Mirror Universe can earn the exciting new reward Kuumaarke’s Visionary Floor Set.

Lohlunat Festival (June 30 – July 30 on all platforms)

From June 30th to July 30th, players can travel to the tropical planet of Risa and participate in a number of summer games to win the coveted grand prize, the new Cnidarian Defender [K6].

This particular ship is based on the first aliens in Starship Enterprise: The Next Century and can be flown in either saucer or jellyfish form. The festival features a variety of activities, all of which grant progress towards the new ship, including powerboard races, a biathlon, the hunt for Horga’hn, the artifact scavenger hunt with Sovak, and the coolest dance party this side of the galaxy.

Players can also unlock new items in the event store, such as baseball jerseys, floaters and powerboards inspired by the Blue Bores baseball team, kit frames, tribbles and caracals for a summer to remember.
