That means the Intel Evo certification for laptops
Intel Evo is a special certificate from the processor manufacturer. Intel awards high-performance laptops with Intel processors that also offer a long battery life and have a slim design. Laptops with the Intel Evo seal are, so to speak, the further development of ultrabooks, the name of which was also coined by Intel.
In order for manufacturers to be able to attach the coveted Intel Evo badge to their devices, the laptops have to meet strict requirements: They have to wake up from standby in less than a second (“instant wake”), a battery life of at least nine hours with a display brightness of 250 nits (at Full HD resolution) and, after a quick charge of 30 minutes, provide energy for at least four hours of running time. Charging must be possible via USB-C (Thunderbolt 4).
Furthermore, with a laptop with Intel Evo certification, you can be sure that powerful hardware is installed inside. A certified laptop must at least offer the following specs:
- 11th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7
- Intel Iris Xe graphics chip
- At least 8GB of RAM
- At least 256GB of SSD storage
- thunderbolt 4
- wifi 6

As required by the Intel Evo badge, Thunderbolt 4 and the modern Wi-Fi 6 are on board. A 12th generation Intel Core i7 processor provides enough computing power for a wide variety of projects. 16 GB of RAM and an SSD with 256 GB of storage ensure fast loading times and quick switching between multiple programs and apps. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics chip easily handles tasks such as video editing or photo and graphics editing. The 15.6-inch touch display is a comfortable size for working.
The battery with a capacity of 68 watt hours offers a runtime of up to 21 hours, depending on use. Once the battery has been used up, half an hour at the socket is enough to recharge the battery for nine hours of running time. As usual for laptops with Intel Evo certification, the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 has a Thunderbolt 4 port for external hard drives or displays and supports Wi-Fi 6 for a stable and fast internet connection.

This versatility is made possible by powerful hardware that easily meets the requirements for Intel Evo certification. The Surface Pro 8 configuration presented here has an Intel Core i5 processor, 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of SSD storage. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics chip has enough power for graphics-intensive work such as image editing. Depending on usage, the Surface offers a battery life of up to 16 hours. And with a weight of 891 grams, the Surface Pro 8 is particularly light.
Two Thunderbolt 4 ports allow you to connect additional displays to the Surface Pro 8 and thus increase your productivity even further. Alternatively, an external GPU can be connected for more graphics power or an external hard drive for additional memory.

The LG gram 16 easily meets the performance requirements for the Intel Evo badge. An Intel i7 1165G7 of the 11th generation is used as the processor, which offers a maximum clock frequency of 4.7 GHz. The integrated Intel Iris Xe GPU provides enough graphics power for tasks such as image editing. 16 GB of RAM ensures that there are always enough memory resources available for all open programs and apps. And thanks to the one terabyte SSD storage, there is enough space on the laptop for videos, music, documents, games and more.
The LG gram 16 is also convincing in terms of runtime. The battery has a capacity of 80 watt hours. According to LG, this is enough for a runtime of up to 22 hours. So you can easily get through a whole day with one charge. As required by the requirements for the Intel Evo certification, Wi-Fi 6 and fast USB 4.0 Type C interfaces with Thunderbolt 4 are of course also on board – two of them. The two ports can be used, for example, to connect two 4K monitors or one 8K monitor to the LG gram 16.
