Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 – What are the odds of a second season?

Fans had to wait a long time to see Ewan McGregor as the legendary Jedi master again, then the time had finally come: the new series Obi Wan Kenobi went to Disney+ at the start and met with another encounter Darth Vader the deepest desires of star Wars-fan base. Now with the 6th episode final episode to the epic end of the series. But is that true?

The calls from the many fans for a 2nd season noisy. So far, the author Joby Harold has spoken out against a continuation of the intended as a completed mini-series production. In an interview, the two gave Obi Wan– and VaderActors Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen openly admit that they do too would like to continue. McGregor, for example, sincerely hopes that there will be a second season, while Christensen wants to go one step further and sees good chances for his own Darth Vader series – with him in the lead role, of course.

“I really hope we do another [season]. If I could do one of these every now and again — I’d just be happy about it”says Ewan McGregor.

“[Obi-Wan Kenobi] was definitely conceived as a standalone story. But I would love to continue with this character. You know, I think there’s certainly more there to explore and I would be so excited to get to do so”says Hayden Christensen.

Will there be an Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2?

Is Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 Coming? So far, neither the writer nor showrunner Deborah Chow has relented for a second season. Rather, from the beginning, one limited series spoken.

Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy also had recently little hope for a 2nd season given. She hadn’t completely ruled it out and left all possibilities open. However, from a content point of view, there should be a good reason to continue the series.
