Four new sports channels expand Sky’s offering. The subscription service wants to show tennis, golf, the English Premier League and more around the clock.
Subscription platform Sky is redistributing its sports content. From July 14 there will be four more 24-hour sports channels. The theme channels Sport Premier League, Sport Mix, Sport Tennis and Sport Golf are coming. There will also be a “highlight channel” Sport Top Event.
They complement the well-known channels Sport Bundesliga, Sport F1 and Sport News, which means that subscribers can now watch eight 24-hour sports channels with live broadcasts, documentaries, daily programs, archive material and classics.
All channels are in the Bundesliga or sports package from Sky Q included and via a monthly subscription to Sky WOW. Sky also gives a glimpse into the future: from August 4, “Showcase” will be added as a “non-stop entertainment channel”.
From next season, Sky will be broadcasting some Bundesliga games with Dolby Atmos sound. However, there are a few requirements that must be met.
