Lost Ark: This awaits you in the next Legion Raid Vykas
If at the next weekly server maintenance of Lost Ark on June 30, 2022 the June update to the live servers hits, we get it including the Legion Raid Vykas to do on Normal and Hard difficulty levels. On the official website of the online role-playing game Amazon Games has now published a comprehensive preview of the endgame challenge. Find out how to prepare for the challenge, what exactly awaits you in the instance and what the rewards are.
General information about the Legion Raid Vykas
Vykas is the second Legion raid for the western version of Lost Ark after Valtan. In the new raid instance, powerful members of the Greed Legion await you before you finally challenge Legion Commander Vykas in her “Garden of Scarlet Ecstasy”. You have to be extremely careful with this. There is no revival during combat!
Vykas is another eight-player challenge, with three portals (through which you can save your progress) and special features and mechanics. You have to with your character Reach item level 1430 to play normal modeand you need 1,460 for the hard mode.
Attention: In Legion raids, you can not only try again after a wipe with the portal save point system, but also interrupt the raid without losing progress or rewards. Also a peculiarity of Legion raids: If you successfully complete a portal, a reward beckons every time. All of your portal data is saved when you claim your reward, and your party can decide whether or not to proceed to the next portal. If you’d rather wait with the rest of the portals, you can come back with the same group or a new group at a later time until the weekly reset.
Other rules for participation
You can play Legion Raids each week with any number of characters in your roster. Each character can fight up to three different Legion Commanders each week. So you can fight both Valtan and Vykas in one week. However, you can only attempt one level of difficulty of a Legion raid per week and per commander, i.e. either normal or difficult.
You are allowed to participate in the Legion Raids once you have completed the Advisor quest “[Ratgeber] Hint: Legion Raid”. As an additional step for the new Vykas Raid, you must visit the Moon Knights in Castle Vern and start the quest “Second Spring”, which tells the story of the commander of the Greed Legion. Once you have Vykas ‘ Once you’ve unlocked Legion Raid, you can enter it from the Legion Raid building in the major cities. You can also enter Legion Raids from the Group Finder (the icon below the minimap) or the ‘Integrated Dungeon’ menu. You open the menu via the integrated dungeon icon under the minimap or by pressing [ALT] + [Q].

The new Star Messenger skills
In each Legion Raid you will find Star Messengers who will fight alongside your party and can aid you with powerful skills and attacks at crucial moments in the battle. During the raid, you fill up the Star Messenger skill gauge. When it is full, the party leader can use one of the available Star Messenger skills. Vykas’ Legion Raid brings back two new Star Messenger skills and also Wei, one of the allies from Valtan’s Legion Raid.
- Nineveh – Divine Punishment Parkunas: Nineveh fires arrows that pinpoint your enemies, dealing massive damage and weak point damage. Hits can also partially remove bonuses used by the Legion Commander.
- Inanna – Elzowin’s Grace: Inanna uses her magic to create a powerful protective zone that grants immunity to knocking, absorbs some damage taken, and more. The moment the guard zone is deactivated, targets in the area regenerate health.
- Wei – Awakened Dochul: Wei summons Dochul for three powerful attacks. Awakened Dochul deals massive stagger damage with each attack.
These rewards beckon in the Vykas Raid
The Relic Sets available from Legion Commander Gear Crafting NPCs require materials from both Valtan’s and Vykas’ Legion Raid in order for them to craft you a special set. Vykas’ Legions Raid brings two new items to craft gear from: Coveted Fangs for Legendary gear and Coveted Wings for Relic gear.
Completing each portal in Vykas’ Legions Raid awards Gold, Coveted Fangs and Wings, Relic Accessories, and Enhancement Materials. The final portal may also contain special items such as Engraving Recipes, Map Packs, and Enhancement Books. Additionally, after completing each portal, a portion of the gold earned can be used to purchase a bonus chest containing additional crafting and enhancement materials, accessories, and ability stones.
There will also be a loot auction upon completion of the final portal in the Legions Raid where players can bid on additional chests containing crafting materials, engravings, boost books, and more. More of these items and additional Coveted Wings await you in Hard Mode. Stones of Chaos can also be earned in this mode, which can be used to craft or upgrade relic gear.

This is how you reach the item level for Vykas
Last but not least, the publisher gives you some tips and tricks to help you reach the item level of 1,430 required for Vykas with characters in a reasonably timely manner.
- New players who want to quickly get to Tier 3 endgame content will find this one Amazon Games Tips and Tricks Guide for Tier 1.
- Additionally, use the still active Super Express event to quickly get a fresh character at level 50 into Tier 3. This event can still be activated until June 30th and the missions for the activated character can be completed until July 20th.
- Anyone who has upgraded a character to tier 2 through the “Will” quest line can immediately upgrade another character to combat level 50 and item level 960 with the Feiton Power Pass. This event power pass is only valid until June 30th!
- Tip number 1 if you are already in Tier 3: After you have crafted the Tier 3 Legendary Gear Set you want from the Hard Mode of the Well of Oreha Abyss Dungeons or the Argos Abyss Raid, you can use leftover ones Dismantle crafting materials (Oreha’s Empyrean and Argos’ Blood respectively) for large amounts of great Honor Leapstones to enhance your equipment.
- Tip #2: Fight the weekly trial guards. They yield many enhancement materials (and other rewards) appropriate to the item level of the character who fought them. Trial Guardians are a new weekly activity that is different from regular Guardian Raids. Not only are the enemies tougher, but your character’s item level will be adjusted to match that of the enemy.
A new progression event as well as the free Punika power pass are planned to come with the July update. These progression aids can be played with existing characters or with the new Arcanist also coming with this update!
