Report: Ubisoft could reveal Skull & Bones release date next month

According to reports, Ubisoft’s Skull & Bones could be officially unveiled again next month, along with a specific release date.

Many buccaneer fans have been waiting for the pirate adventure Skull & Bones, which was first announced in 2017, for several years. Now the official release date could finally be announced next month. However, there are no official announcements yet.

Like the games page tryhardguides claims that Ubisoft is currently planning to present the new game again in the week of July 4th. Specifically, the report states: “The details of the revelations are vague, but it is believed that Ubisoft will finally confirm a release date for the long-awaited title, officially reveal gameplay and announce some more details.”

Reasons for this assumption are, among other things, recent comments by Skull & Bones on global rating boards and the leak of a comprehensive tutorial video in April, which was later confirmed by Ubisoft as genuine. As part of this, the studio also said that they were planning new announcements soon.

But why are the rumors talking about a “re-reveal” of the game? The reason: Skull & Bones debuted at E3 2017, but a lot has happened since then.

The game, which is inspired by Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, has been postponed several times and, for example, numerous game mechanics such as live elements and more co-op options have been added.
